Training is the

Secret Ingredient.

I've created a series of Forest Educator Trainings that focus on how to teach and share nature with students of all ages, because our youngest generation has never been more disconnected from the natural world than at any other time in our history as human beings.
I bring 35 years of direct field experience teaching adults, students, children, teens and professional groups, as well as time spent in the bush honing and living the skills I share.   I've trained season after season of staff members in the transformational program process that has changed our participants year after year.   I've mentored staff in their own programs, and provided assistance and support both in mindset, strategy, skills and program assessment.
If you want to make your program more effective, I can help!   It is my current passion and vision to pass on what I have learned in my professional career as a wilderness educator and camp director and help people like you to do what you do easier and with less effort and stress!

I'm offering training two programs in 2022-2023:

Forest Educator Online:    Becoming a Forest Educator
Six online sessions with skills videos, worksheets & assessment resources and more.

Forest Educator Residential:   Forest Educator Skills Intensive
Six full days of hands on nature crafts, wilderness skills, awareness activities, storytelling, cooking, challenges, games and much more.
Our Residential Trainings are currently hosted at our wilderness education campus and retreat center in Cherry Valley, NY, at Hawk Circle Wilderness Education.
I am also available to do private group trainings for staff, instructors and directors at your location with advanced notice.
To be notified when our latest programs are scheduled, or to get occasional updates to our resources for educators, please join our email newsletter.   You will get access to our early bird specials and get priority in choosing your accommodations for your visit, as well as news, videos, blog posts and more

Thanks for all you do to help our world become a better place!
